Work can make very special demands on our vision. Reflections from office lighting and computer monitors for example can make our eyes work very hard.
If you’re having to peer through reflections and reduced contrast to read a computer screen, your eyes are more likely to tire.
With Crizal UV lenses, reflections are almost totally eliminated, making work much less tiring. If you work (or are to start working) on computers, you are legally entitled to free sight tests, paid for by your employer.
If you wear reading or Varilux spectacles, Varilux Digitime or InterView lenses may help too. Reading spectacles are fine, except that everything beyond close-up vision is blurred. When you work in an office, most vision is actually between reading and arms’ length (the extent of your desk) and Varilux Digitime and InterView lenses have been designed with precisely this in mind. It gives very wide reading and arms’ length vision, so that what you most need to be in focus is sharp.
If you work outdoors, you should consider Transitions Signature lightweight photochromic lenses. They quickly darken and lighten again and filter out damaging UV radiation.
If your job requires eye protection, Airwear lenses are a must. While Airwear lenses might look just like any other, they are the most impact-resistant lenses available.
If your job involves driving you should consider Crizal UV lenses. They banish the glare from headlights and street lighting that can make night driving so tiring for your eyes.
